Pest control guide.

It might sometimes seems that pests are determined to takeover your home. Many solutions are available to control both insect and rodent pests these include traps and pesticides, Most can be prevented in the first instance but good housekeeping and proofing. Don’t create an environment, which is hospitable to pests in the first place.

Most pests seek shelter, warmth and food so that they can support themselves and their offspring. Remove clutter that can be used by rodents as nesting material and breeding grounds for insects. Keep eating and food preparation areas free from crumbs clean away spillages straight away.

Most infestations occur because access is available to the pest. A simple tip is to seal up small holes, and cracks, expandable foam is particularly effective. This will keep rodents, birds, and insects from seeking refuge in your home; during the winter period rodents will seek shelter in your home.

Even with good housekeeping and proofing, you may occasionally have unwelcome guests. Many DIY products are available such as traps, sprays and baits. However most over the counter insecticides are not as strong as professional use only products. And are usually more expensive, a typical flea treatment for example will use 5 litres of insecticide try buying that much from the DIY centre and see how much it costs.
