How to treat a wasp sting.
Wash the area with soap and water to prevent infection. The wasp’s stinger not only injects poison but it can be covered in germs picked up by the wasp while foraging for food.
Put a cold flannel on the area.
Raise the part of the body that has been stung this will help reduce swelling.
Sprays, or creams, containing anaesthetic or antihistamine can help.
Painkillers, such as paracetamol may help reduce the pain.
Do not scratch the area around the sting, as it may become infected,
